Born
in 1953, my first exposure to sign making was in the mid
60’s when my father started a sign business in western
Washington State. Although I’ve always been interested
in art & design, I did not pursue sign design and manufacturing
until ’91. With nearly 25 years in the construction
industry I was looking forward to a change. During a heartfelt
conversation with my wife, Carmen, about where our lives
would be had I followed my passion; she looked at me and
made it perfectly clear that I had her full support. While
the construction industry supported us, I spent those early
years studying, practicing and developing skills in art,
design and production. For me, this has truly been a labor
of love. In addition, I chair the design committee for the
Puyallup Main Street Association and serve on the board of
directors.
Born in 1962, Carmen is the third of three children. Before marrying
in 1990 she was an office manager for a chiropractor, which by
the way is where we met. Since then she gave life to Taylor & Justin,
our boys. When our second child was born, we decided Carmen should
stay home for them. That did not keep her down. She also served
as a Treasurer and a Secretary
for the Midnight Riders Street Rod Assn., served 1 year as Secretary
and 3 years as President of our boys preschool, served 1 year as
Treasurer and 2 years as PTA President for the elementary school
our boys go to, is a Golden Acorn recipient, and currently is a
Coordinator of Faith Formation for Children at Holy Disciples Catholic
Church. She continues to volunteer in three classrooms each week
Oh yeah, she also manages the books for the sign business and helps
keep me on schedule.
We
have come a long way. We used a slowdown in construction
as a springboard for the sign business to go full time.
This is what we wanted and have been planning since June
1992 when we knew we had something more than a hobby and
got our business license.
Thanks
for visiting our web site.
Sincerely,
Chris Bryant
